A cottage in the seaside village of St Agnes is among a number of properties to go under the hammer in Cornwall.
Dubbed a ‘charming’ cottage, the property and nearby land in a coastal village in Cornwall are available separately at auction. The two-bedroom house at 6A Peterville in St Agnes has a freehold guide price of £145,000 to £155,000. Nearby land, adjacent to 27 Rosemundy, has a freehold guide price of £20,000 to £22,500.
Senior auction appraiser David Henwood said: “The charming two-bedroom cottage is in a good location close to local amenities in a desirable village.
“Bidders may also be interested in a rare opportunity to acquire land nearby which is currently occupied by a good sized storage unit but was previously used as a car parking space.” Both lots are being auctioned in arrangement with Bill Bannister estate agents of Redruth.
The next property for auction is a freehold commercial unit which on offer as an investment property in Camborne town centre. The two-storey premises – let to a well-established estate agent – has a freehold guide price of £130,000 to £150,000.
In a prominent position near national chains and retailers in Camborne town centre, the property is let at £14,000 per annum.
Senior auction appraiser David Henwood said: “This well-proportioned commercial unit is a ready-made investment property.
“It is already delivering a return from a well-established tenant since 2006 but also offers future potential for extension or part conversion subject to the necessary consents.”
Located at 12 Commercial Street, the property has a sales area, office, kitchenette, stores and cloakroom with WC on its ground floor. There are four offices, a staff kitchen and storeroom on the first floor. It also has offroad parking for multiple vehicles to the rear.
It is being auctioned jointly with RG Commercial of Redruth.
Lastly, two store buildings with potential in Penzance are on offer separately at an auction in February. The first comes with a parcel of land in Penalverne Avenue, on the edge of the town centre. It has a freehold guide price of £20,000 to £30,000.
With a freehold guide of £15,000 to £20,000, the second is in the town centre to the rear of 21 Alverton Street and has an area of hardstanding.
Senior auction appraiser David Henwood said: “Both of these store buildings are well located, one in a central location and the other in a predominately residential area.
“They each have potential for a number of uses, including potential residential development at the site in Penalverne Avenue, subject to the necessary consents.”
Cornwall Council has instructed the sale of the lots.
Bidding for all of the listings are live from Monday February 7, with the auction ending on Wednesday February 9.
