There is a local derby in the Tribute Western Counties West division this afternoon as Truro RFC host Penryn. The home side, who sit third in the league table will be looking to score their third win in a row after a 50-18 win over Paignton and a 74-7 win over Honiton in their last two outings.

Penryn are currently ninth in the league table and have played the fewest games out of any side this season due to covid postponements, weather postponements and match abandonments hindering their games this since Christmas. They will be looking to return to ways after two defeats on the bounce. The kick-off at Truro RFC is at 2:30 pm.

Falmouth Eagles are away for the second week in a row as they travel to Wiveliscombe. Falmouth lost 74-13 to undefeated league leaders Wadebridge last week but did defeat Chard the week before in what was only their third win of the campaign.

The Cornish Pirates are back in front of the home fans at the Mennaye after an away to Richmond last time out. They face up against bottom-placed London Scottish as they look to keep the pressure on at the top of the table.

It is a closely fought battle at the upper end of the RFU Championship at the moment with just five points separating first from fourth in the table, and the Pirates have up to two games in hand on the sides around them.

In the South West Premier Camborne are hosting league leaders Exter University who have lost just twice in the division this season.

Camborne are 11th in the table and have won their last two with victories ver Royal Wooton Bassett and Drybrook over recent weekends. A win could take them as high as ninth depending on results elsewhere.

In National League Two South there is a third vs second in the table battle as Redruth travel to Clifton.

It is a huge game for the Reds as they look to remain in the title battle. They currently trail leaders Esher by just two points and could go top with a win providing Esher drop points against Henley. The Reds have won their last three matches.

There is no game for Helston RFC this weekend. They were due to play against Roseland but th game has been postponed because of covid cases in the Roseland playing squad.
