One of Cornwall’s most popular indoor soft-play centres throws open its doors again today (Saturday 19th) - weather permitting!

Smiles and shrieks of delight will be seen and heard at Helston’s One2eleven once again, following a two-year period in which the centre was affected by the Covid pandemic.

As a curtain-raiser, youngsters from Parc Eglos Nursery were invited along for a special preview on Thursday and gave their seal of approval.

Mum Hayley Verran said: “We are really, really happy that One2Eleven is reopening again. It’s something fun to do again after a difficult two years.”

To mark the reopening during half term week, there will be opportunities for children to meet Ferdi the Fox and his friend Percy the Parrot, as well as fun art and craft activities.

The indoor centre, ideal for any weather, boasts every type of soft play – from air bursting ball swamps, cannon shooters, slides, tunnels, rope walkways and swings. A new addition this year is an exciting mini climbing wall.

A nursery leader from Parc Eglos added: “It’s great to see One2eleven open again – especially when the weather is like it is at the moment. It not only provides a lovely, safe environment for children to play, but also a community meeting place for parents.”

Other activities include One2Eleven Street, which provides parents and little ones with the chance to run a supermarket, care for animals at the vet’s and repair cars in the garage.

When adults fancy a well-earned breather, comfy seating positioned around the Toddler Zone enables them to relax with a hot drink and something to eat whilst watching their children in action.

Toddlers can also enjoy a sensory experience with a soft play horse carousel and rocking horses, alternatively they (and their parents!) can test their brains with the giant puzzles.

Richard Welby, Manager said: “It was fantastic to see the Parc Eglos children having so much fun and burning off some energy at our soft launch.

“It has been a very difficult time for everyone so we’re thrilled to be able to put the fun back into February at One2eleven. All our play areas have had a thorough deep clean over the winter and we’re now ready and raring to go for 2022.”
