A memorial walk is taking place in late April for the Cornish Rugby Legend David 'Benji' Thomas who sadly passed away after a short illness in February.

Fifty walkers will set out on the 35 mile route on Saturday, April 30 from the Lizard Point to Pendennis Point as they plan to raise £10,000 to help underprivileged young people in Falmouth and Penryn access life-changing opportunities which was a cause very close to Benji's heart.

Those who are interested in taking part in the walk should email prfctreasury@gmail.com to assign their place on the walk, alternatively if you just want to donate to the cause you can add to the gofundme page https://www.gofundme.com/f/benji-memorial-walk?fbclid=IwAR0boRedROsA8soZQfKnhzCjv32xB2J_swaHuGNNtHC_VY_EBCNAkEdvILA.

At the time of writing £505 has been raised of the £10,000 target.

Everyone taking part in the activity does so at their own risk. Participants in this event are reminded that outdoor activities frequently need specialist equipment (boots, waterproofs, etc) and the Memorial walk does not provide these. No under 16s are allowed on the walk and under 18s walking should be accompanied by an adult.
