Promoting the event Falmouth town councillor Zoe Young said: "We are 98% water, our ancestors emerged from the sea. Let's come together to soak in, celebrate, learn about and share how we live with the sea, rains, rivers, run-off, wells, soak-a-ways and streams.

"Marine exploration and wildlife, food, floods, boating, swimming and swimming pools, diving, fisheries, seaweed, deep sea mining, watery art, foraging, oceanic rebellion.. there will be films, and talks, and stalls, and arts and crafts and field trips out to the tidal rocks of Tunnel Beach, just below Princess Pavilion."
