The St Ives September Festival is planning two "super Saturday" afternoons of street entertainment this year.

The first programme, starting at noon on Saturday September 10, will mark the launch of the 15-day 2022 Festival of Music and Arts and there will be another full afternoon of outdoor attractions on the middle Saturday, September 17.

Both programmes will be backed by the Festival’s newest sponsor Aspects Holidays.

Kelvin Hopkins, the Festival’s street entertainment organiser, said: "The generous support from Aspects Holidays will enable the Festival to provide a bigger and better programme than ever before.

"We are looking at bringing some exciting performers to the streets of St Ives."

Sarah Bond, St Ives manager of Aspects Holidays at their harbourside office on The Wharf, said: "We are delighted to be linking up with the St Ives September Festival and particularly excited to be the named sponsor for this year’s street entertainment programme.

"There are mutual benefits as the Festival attracts a great many visitors to the town, helping to extend the holiday season deep into September.

"The popularity of the Festival is reflected in the enquiries we are already receiving for 2023 from holidaymakers who want to be in St Ives during Festival time.

"As a local business were are delighted to be part of this year’s St Ives September Festival."
