A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man on a road just over the border with Cornwall.

It follows an incident on the A38 at St Budeaux, near the Cornwall/Plymouth border , during Thursday evening (May 12).

Police have now formally identified the man who died as 59-year-old David Crawford from Ivybridge.

A second man has now been charged by police in connection to the incident.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said this morning (Saturday): "Following an investigation, police have charged a man in connection to this matter.

"Benjamin Parry, aged 42 from Devonport, Plymouth, has been charged with murder."

Parry has been held in remand and is due before Plymouth Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday, May 14).
