Police in Devon and Cornwall looking for a missing young woman have given an update on the search.

Yesterday police launched an appeal to help find Jessica Clarke, 19, of Newquay, who was last seen by family at 11am on May 19 having left her home in her purple Peugeot 107.

Her car was last detected in Glyn Valley in Bodmin early on Friday morning and police believed she may have been travelling around Cornwall.

Her disappearance was described as out of character, with police carrying out enquiries and searches to locate Jessica.

However, this morning (Saturday) police have given an update to say she has been found.

A police spokesperson said: "A 19-year-old woman reported missing from Newquay has been located safe and well.

Officers had been searching for Jessica Clarke after she went missing on Thursday morning, May 19.

"Jessica was located safe in Cornwall last night, May 20.

"We would like to thank the public for their help with this appeal."
