One of the main roads in and out of Helston has reopened after being closed this evening (Saturday) following a crash.
The A3083 past RNAS Culdrose was closed in both directions between the Cottage Hospital roundabout and the roundabout linking to Mullion and the Lizard Peninsula.
It is understood that the collision took place close to the Gunwalloe turn-off, just after 6.15pm.
Police said some injuries were believed to have been reported, but there was no indication at that time of how serious they were.
Traffic was said to be "very slow" in the area, according to monitoring system INRIX.
People living local also reported the surrounding roads to be extremely busy, including around Gweek and all roads leading to Mullion and the Lizard Peninsula.
More when we have it.
