Verdant Brewery has introduced a new continental feel to its summer offering with the introduction of an ex-German ambulance serving "Heritage Food & Fusion Flavours" at its Taproom.

The craft beer and food destination at Parkengue on Kernick Industrial Estate Penryn has linked up with Situ Cafe to bring a contemporary approach to Summer food and drinks.

Falmouth Packet:

Cooking out of an old German ambulance, Situ serves up "Heritage Food & Fusion Flavours". Their signature style derives from a migration route from Gujarat (India) to Uganda (East Africa) before arriving in the UK in 1970’s. Drawing upon family recipes & traditional techniques, owner and chef Sham Mulji, cooks with passion and flair to bring an array of dishes into the modern day.

Sham left a career in hospitality management to launch SITU full time in late summer 2021 and began sharing his story, heritage, and food.

Layered flavours from India with African ingredients and British fusions - this is the perfect combination Verdant beers.

Offering a small menu with authentic snacks, hot dishes & sides, currently served Thursday, 5 to 9pm, Friday and Saturday 12pm to 9pm, with more to come with the summer sun.

Falmouth Packet:

Situ consciously sources their produce, using direct trade spices from Jodhpur (India), local produce & growers (where possible) and sustainable Cornish beef from Homage to the Bovine (Stithians) to support fellow small businesses and circular economy.

The collaboration doesn’t stop there, Verdant's Pizza Chef Rylie and Situ's Chef Sham collaborated on a pizza special for May - to get a taste of what SITU has to offer on one of Verdant’s well-renowned Neapolitan style pizzas.

A few months back, the Taproom opened its doors for the very first time, ticking all of the boxes for its vision of a community tap space. During these first few months, they’ve hosted DJs, exhibitions, live sports, talks, community meetings.

The beer garden at its best is now a fully kitted out yard with shared bench seating, awning coverage, a calendar packed with music & events, and of course still 16 lines of Verdant beers on tap plus four cask lines.
