One of Cornwall’s most popular events the Royal Cornwall Show returns next week – after the forced cancellation over the past two years due to the Covid pandemic.

The Royal Cornwall Show is held in Wadebridge and will begin on Thursday, June 9 and end on Saturday, June 11. The three day will be jam-packed with events, from competitions and displays to retail therapy and Cornish food and drink.

There will be livestock showing, the popular Food and Farming tent, Cornwall YFC tent and flower tent among the many places to visit.

There will be Royal visitors this year, as The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will arrive on Friday June 9, and The Prince will be handing out The Duke of Cornwall's Award for Farm Diversity.

There will also be a chance to listen to local music talents on two live stages across the showground. Local bands Jolly Roger, The Red Apple Honeys, Steel Appeal will be playing on Thursday on the Kelly's of Bodmin Stage.

Friday will see Black Velvet perform, Helen White Quartet and Whippletree Celidh Band play. On Ssaturday, Black Velvet will perform again along with Cornwall Youth Choirs, and Wadebridge Town Band.

The second stage is the East Gate Stage. Black Velvet will perform again on Friday, along with Boundless Brothers and Oll an Gwella. Friday the Boscastle Buoys will perform with The Countrymen and Steel Appeal. And on the last day, Jonah's Lift, Rock Choir and Whippletree Celidh Band will perform.

In these times of uncertainty and change, Royal Cornwall Show wants to demonstrate the importance of heritage community and the values of Cornwall.

Throughout the three-day event, there will lots to see and do and its an event for all ages, families, and visitors to our region.

Judging events will also be taking place throughout the day.

On the second day of the show, show organisers have announced The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will visit on Friday, June 10. Prince Charles will also make the presentation to the 2021 and 2022 winners of his own award, The Duke of Cornwall's Award for Farm Diversity.

Along with these events, there will also be displays over at The Combined Tree Services countryside area - situated at the western end of the Showground.

Daily displays will include - Working Gundogs, Police Dogs in action, Carriage Driving Displace, Ancient Cornish Wrestling and The Wonderful Worlds of Owls.
