Falmouth Town have announced their full pre-season schedule ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The new season will see Falmouth play in the Western League after cruising through the South West Peninsula League (SWPL) last season, winning the title with four games to go.

The six-game pre-season consists of three home and three away matches that begin on the road at winners of last season's Western League, Tavistock on Saturday, July 2.

Town will then host the inaugural Aubrey Wilkes Trophy match against Truro City the following weekend. The annual tie on July 9, kicks off at 3 pm at Bickland Park and will see Town look to avenge the 5-0 defeat from the White Tigers last season.

Falmouth will then travel to Bodieve Park to play Wadebridge Town in their next encounter in midweek on Wednesday, July 13. Town did the double over the SWPL side last season winning 7-2 and 4-2 over two matches.

Sidmouth Town of the SWPL East are Town's fourth fixture of the warm-up fixtures. The sides met in the Walter C Parson cup last season as Town eased to a 5-2 in the second round of the competition at the Manstone Recreation Ground. This game on July 16 will kick off at Bickland Park at 3 pm.

The penultimate game of the matches will see Town face off with an away match against the only side who they lost to last season in St Blazey. The match kicks off at 7:45 pm at Blaise Park on Wednesday, July 20. Town lost 3-2 in their first match to Blazey last season, but in the return fixture triumphed 2-0 thanks to goals from David Broglino and Luke Barner.

Southern League Willand Rovers will be Falmouth's final test of pre-season on Saturday, July 23 at Bickland Park. The match promises to be an exciting affair with both sides looking to up the ante ahead of their respective league campaigns.
