Saturday morning showers have been a stark comparison to the gorgeous summer weather Cornwall experienced to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee on Thursday and Friday.
The unseasonal rain comes as street parties across the county are set to take place to commemorate the Queen's momentous occasion.
There is a yellow weather warning of thunderstorms for much of East Cornwall and stretching into Devon, however fortunately for West Cornwall party goers it does not cover the whole of the Duchy.
The full forecast for locations throughout Cornwall can be located below:
Falmouth:
Showers overnight and into the early morning threatened to dampen spirits for street parties in Falmouth but the Met Office states that overcast skies will feature for the rest of the afternoon with a low chance of rain.
Helston:
The Met Office has predicted there is a 60% chance of precipitation and light rain in Helston between 11 am and 12 pm. Aside from that there is chance of rain at 3pm, but similarly to Falmouth grey skies look set to dominate the day.
Truro:
Very little chance of rain for the capital of Cornwall with low winds also on Saturday. Still not the T-shirt weather of the previous days of the bank holiday though!Redruth:
Heavy rain between 11am and 12 pm is predicted for Redruth with an 80% likelihood of precipitation. Otherwise the day looks to be largely dry aside from a 50% chance of light showers at 3pm.
Penzance:
Dry but cloudy is the outlook for Penzance on Saturday however gusts of wind at 26mph might warrant those having street parties to ensure their chairs don't fly with the breeze! Much of the cloud looks to clear by 9pm.
