A MAN who vandalised a cricket club in Helston has appeared in front of magistrates at a court in Cornwall.
Regan James Kemp, 23, of Grenville Gardens in Troon, Camborne, appeared in front of magistrates at Truro Magistrates' Court on Monday May 23 on one count of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
The offence took place on Friday, May 21 2021 in Helston where Kemp damaged a window at Helston Cricket Club, to the value of £100, by smashing it and intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.
Kemp pleaded guilty to the offence when appearing in court on May 23.
During his sentencing, Kemp was fined £120, and made to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.
Alongside this, he was also made to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The court noted how a collection order had been made and that Kemp's guilty plea had been taken into account when imposing the sentence.
