On Thursday (June 23) there will be the Mock Mayor of the Quay Election at the Golowan Marquee. This will be hosted by Cornish Crown Brewery, with their lineup of performances running through to this Sunday.

On Friday there will be a firework display for Mazey Eve. The fireworks will be 'significantly quieter' - to prevent harm to animals and the elderly.

On Mazey Day, the town Mayor and Mock Mayor will address the crowds from the Mayor's Platform.

With the theme this year being 'Golowan goes Back to the Future' schools and community groups have been working with artists to produce the parade models reflecting a varied range of nostalgic and futuristic images, these will then be paraded through the town.

They will then be carried aloft in the Mazey Day Parade, which has been sponsored by Hugh Scantlebury.

On Sunday there will be the Quay Fair Day there will be an activity from Jubilee Pool to Wherrytown including Kids on the Prom, a roller disco, a youth music stage, and a skate competition with associate activities at the skate park.

More than 60 bands and solo performers have been commissioned to perform throughout the town with theatre, dance, song, and children's entertainment. Morrab Gardens and Greenmarket Car Park will be transformed into Festival Square on Mazey Day, where a further dozen musical acts will fill the Folk Stage.

The public is being asked to plan their journey to Penzance well in advance. Due to the planned strike by RMT Union, there will be no train services to and from Penzance on Mazey Day. Bus services will still be running as normal.
