The West Cornwall Family Motor Show has been cancelled by organisers this evening (Saturday).

Historically referred to as a 'Father's Day treat' the event was due to have returned tomorrow (Sunday) for the first time since 2019.

However, the poor weather forecast has resulted in organisers making the "tough decision" to cancel the event at Wendron Cricket Club.

The event was due to have run from 10am until 4pm, but winds of up to 30mph gusts have been predicted, along with heavy rain arriving in the afternoon.

Posting of the event's Facebook page, one of the organisers, Emma Langton, said: "Sorry, due to today’s weather and the forecast tomorrow we have had to make the tough decision to cancel tomorrow’s West Cornwall Family Motor Show.

"We are gutted but will look to put the show on again another day. Your safety is our priority."
