Falmouth United Football Club recently held their annual end of season presentation awards.
The Youth section of the club held their presentation at Penryn Rugby Club withthe two adult teams holding theirs at the Falmouth Hotel.

Players ranging from under five right through to Under 18 were presented with a trophy, as the club prepares to celebrate it’s 30th year in the 2024 season.
The evening provided an opportunity for the players to get dressed up smart in their shirt and ties.

Both adult teams gained promotion from their respective Trelawney Leagues with the second team winning their league under the management of Mike Rollason.
The first team also achieved their first piece of silverware after winning the Lockhart Cup.

The event was chairman, Drew Symons' final presentation evening after being involved with the club for 15 years.
Drew will be handing the club Chairman role over to under eight's Manager Chris Wood.

Speaking to the Packet the newly elected chairman Chris Wood said: “The coaches, the efforts and lengths they have gone to to get extra training because of Covid. We put on extra sessions throughout the year, and that resulted in a successful season for everyone as a club.”

“Right now we have never had more teams in the club, currently we have 17 teams in the club, from Under five up to two adult teams. Trying to squeeze everyone on can be hard! We run as a community club, every penny we raise goes back into the club.

"The club are always welcoming, sponsorhip from local busienss as well as volunteers. We have about 30 coaches at the minute but we always need referees or people to help with the coaching, the club supports that and we put people through the courses they need to get.”
