The Cornish Pirates have announced that they are to play a Premiership side as part of their pre-season preparations for the upcoming 2022/23 campaign.
The Pirates, who play their rugby in the RFU Championship, will take on 2020 European Rugby Champions Cup and Premiership winners Exeter Chiefs at the Mennaye Field on Friday, September 2 with kick off at 7:30pm.
The sides last met in a pre season friendly in August 2018 when when in front of what was a sell-out crowd the Pirates emerged 29-21 winners.
Once again a sell out is expected with tickets due to go on sale on Monday, July 4. Prices are: Terrace/Open Seating - £12 (for under 16s the admission price is £1), Microcomms Stand - £16 and Truro & Penwith College Stand - £20.
Due to the popularity of the match it is is recommended that supporters purchase their needs as soon as possible either from the Cornish Pirates ticket office (open Mon-Fri 9am–12 noon) or online at: https://cornish-pirates.com/tickets/
The Cornish Pirates also have one other pre-season friendly fixture confirmed, which is away to Taunton Titans on Saturday, August 20 (ko 3pm).
