Wendron United have announced Jacob Cleverly as their fourth signing of their summer, their third in a week.

Cleverly joins the club after a successful trial period where he featured in two fixtures. An 8-1 win over St Piran League outfit Porthleven and a 5-1 defeat to Western League side Mousehole.

The advanced midfielder, who was formerly of South West Peninsula League outfit Penzance, produced tireless performances in both matches, picking up Wendron's man of the match prize in the latter.

He joins former Penryn duo Russell May and Ryan Reeve in making the move to Underlane while their other acquisition Cam Quirke will be available to the team in September.

Wendron's next pre-season match isn't until Saturday, July 16 when they travel to SWPL East side Ivybridge, their first league game of the season will see the Dron travel away to the Mount Wise stadium where they will take on Newquay on Wednesday, August 3.
