Traffic is currently slow in Cornwall with an air ambulance at the scene after an accident involving two vehicles.
It has been reported that the Cornwall Air Ambulance is currently on the scene of an accident on the B3297 at Burras with the road being closed in both directions.
One person is believed to have sustained serious injuries as a result of the road traffic collision.
Two vehicles are reported to be involved in a incident which took place between the areas of The Church to Farms Common.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 1.30pm today to B3297 at Helston following reports of a two vehicle collision.
"One person is believed to have sustained serious injuries.
"The road has been closed and the incident is ongoing."
Public transport has also been disrupted by the incident, with Go Cornwall Bus announcing one of services being unable to serve part of its route.
In a tweet posted on its social media page, a spokesperson for Go Cornwall Bus said: "Due to a RTC on the B3297, #TFC34 will unable to serve Barras.
"Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused due to circumstances beyond our control."
According to traffic monitoring service InRix: "B3297 both ways closed, slow traffic due to accident, two vehicles involved from The Church to Farms Common.
"Reports of air ambulance at scene."
In an update on its Twitter account, a spokesperson for CORMAC said: "A road closure is in place following an accident earlier this afternoon on the B3297 between Burras, Wendron and Nine Maidens Farm.
"The road closed in both directions, an alternative route/diversion shown in the map below."
