A Helston nursery is flying high after an outstanding Ofsted inspection report this week, and the children were treated to a tiger party.

Hellitots Day Nursery, which is based at RNAS Culdrose, celebrated with a family tea party for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee last month when the Ofsted inspection took place.

On the Ofsted report, the inspector commented: "Children were excited to arrive at this welcoming nursery," and "Their faces shine with their achievements."

The nursery is open Monday to Friday 7.30am until 5.30pm and hosts three rooms, with a large outside area.

Janice Thirlaway-Price, managing director of the nursery, said: "We are so proud and want to acknowledge the commitment, enthusiasm and dedication from our whole team."

Ten children have now left the nursery as they transition to school. During the graduation day, the children were treated to a tiger tea party, a trip to the beach and a visit to one of the squadrons on the navy base, were they visited the 'tiger' helicopter.
