Doors have officially opened at Kernow Bootcamp and it offers an outdoor boot camp service for the local community to help start their day right.

Opened in the middle of June at The Food Barn in Flushing, the outdoor bootcamp offer classes four mornings a week. By starting the day in this way, the company says it will help people with their physical and mental health.

With fresh air helping with those who suffer from mental health, the sunlight naturally increases happy hormones and studies have show it aids in lowering in blood pressure and reducing stress, it added.

Creator of Kernow Bootcamp, Izi Friend, said she wanted to provide local communities with the chance to experience outdoor boot camps, she is also a Pilates teacher and a life coach over the years. She wanted to create a system that enables people to feel motivated, fulfilled, and supported.

‘It is such a joy to see so many local faces joining us to get up, get active, and take responsibility for their health and wellbeing. The facilities at The Food Barn are ideal for it – we can be outdoors but when it rains we can be in the barn staying dry!’ said Izi.
