AN all-girls school in Cornwall has been listed for a trio of national awards in education excellence.

Truro High School for Girls, has been shortlisted for a three national awards for educational excellence in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2022.

Having been named as the UK’s Small Independent School of the Year 2020, Truro High has this year been shortlisted for three major awards including Independent Girls’ School of the Year and Pre-Prep of the Year.

It’s UX course to teach Prep 6 pupils with user experience skills has also been nominated in the new Innovative Project category.

The news follows the school's big win at the recent Tes Awards, the Oscars of the education world, where Head of STEM Jon Dean was named UK Subject Lead of the Year.

Headmistress, Mrs Sarah Matthews said: "It is absolutely fantastic to see our unique and special school recognised so widely as providing phenomenal opportunities and a first rate education.
