St Michaels Resort, Falmouth has said it is delighted to announce that it will be a principal sponsor of this year’s Falmouth Oyster Festival 2022, running from Thursday, October 13 to Sunday 16.

Continuing its long-held support for the festival, this year, St Michaels will host the flagship Seafood Bar showcasing Cornwall’s abundant local produce.

The Seafood Bar will include a tantalising blend of brasserie and street food style dishes including Tregida Smoked Ling Chowder, Spiced Crispy Squid or Oysters as well as delicious Nam Jim Dressed Crab.

At the helm will be Cornish Executive Head Chef of St Michaels Resort, Darren Millgate who will be sharing his love of Cornish seafood as well as his culinary flair at Saturday afternoon’s chef demonstration at 2pm.

St Michaels works closely with local producers, farmers and fisherman and Darren and his team are passionate about using Cornish grown produce and flavours.

Nigel Carpenter, Chairman of St Michaels and who will have the honour of judging the oyster chucking competition at the festival on the Saturday afternoon, said: "St Michaels is delighted to continue its sponsorship of the festival.

"It’s a great occasion that is enjoyed by all locals but it’s also a great opportunity to welcome friends from far and wide to this festival and town.

"It continues to bring a great audience of food and culture enthusiasts to Falmouth where they can celebrate the incredible produce that our town has to offer."
