A creative communications agency based in north Cornwall has secured three new client wins.

Barefoot Media, a PR and marketing agency which specialises in food, travel, property and tourism, has been appointed by SPAR’s wholesaler for the West Country, Appleby Westward; property developer Salboy; and family-run bakery chain The Cornish Oven.

Chris Penfold, senior account director at Barefoot Media, said: "We’ve worked hard to become a leading agency across our specialist sectors, and these three new business wins are a great example of this - covering food and property to add to our existing clients.

"We love to work with organisations that are doing something interesting and positive.

"Appleby Westward and The Cornish Oven both go above and beyond to support their local communities, and Salboy is looking to build much-needed housing in Cornwall."

Appleby Westward, based in Saltash, has recruited Barefoot to support the organisation’s marketing pillars across regional consumer press in the South West and national trade titles.

The wholesaler, which also manages SPAR stores in the region, says it is focussing on delivering a range of community-led initiatives, and Barefoot will be helping to tell those stories over the coming months.

Manchester-based developer Salboy has plans to expand its portfolio throughout the South West, including several new developments in Cornwall. Barefoot has a strong grasp on the issues faced by Cornwall in the current housing crisis and plenty of experience in the property sector. PR support will be provided for these new developments including communicating proposals, planning events and general updates to local and national news.

The award-winning agency has also secured a contract with The Cornish Oven, which operates six popular bakeries in West Cornwall. Barefoot was approached by branding and graphic design agency Absolute to develop a robust social media strategy for the coming months, to coincide with the launch of updated branding.
