Cornwall has been faced with some severe weather this week, with flash flooding.

After weeks of high temperatures, resulting in a hosepipe ban coming into force next Monday, most people have been hoping for a drop of rain - but for some, it's caused chaos.

Haywood Farm Cider in the Allen Valley near St Mabyn, approximately four miles from Wadebridge, experienced flash flooding on Monday due to the severe downpours.

A video uploaded to the farm's social media page shows a significant amount of water gushing down the stairs and into the cellar.

Thankfully none of the ciders were affected as they had all been placed on pallets.

And it wasn't all bad for farm owner Tom Bray, as the flood water went through the cellar and down to the orchards, where the apple trees were in desperate need of watering.

He said he was also pleased it wasn't on the day before, as they had bands playing at the farm in the nice weather.

As previously reported at thepacket.co.uk, the Trafalgar Round in Truro was also submerged following a flood at the busy junction on Monday lunchtime.

Cornwall had been the subject of a three-day weather warning for thunderstorms, which was raised to amber on Monday before dropping back to yellow yesterday.

The Duchy has escaped today's weather warning, with the storms moving further up along the south coast and into Hampshire.
