Lifeguard cover on a dozen beaches in Cornwall comes to an end today.

The main lifeguard season in Cornwall runs from May until late September for most beaches but 12 of those will no longer have lifeguard patrols from Monday, September 5.

The beaches where lifeguard cover ends today include Perranporth where in late August a woman passed away after getting into difficulties in sea.
