One of Cornwall's biggest triathlons is returning to Falmouth this September.

The triathlon, known as 'The Seal', is coming to Gylly Beach on Sunday, September 25 and is the sixth and final event in intoTRI's Cornish Tri Series 2022.

The event kicks off in the morning, with Sprint (600m swim – 20k bike – 5k run) and Super Sprint (300m swim – 10k bike – 2.5k run) distances on offer.

Spectator friendly bike and run courses between Gylly Beach and Pendennis Point as well as Australian exits on the swim course, where swimmers exit the water for a short run between swim loops, provide an electric atmosphere.

The winning athletes will be presented with prizes sponsored by Giant Helston, Whirlwind Sports and St Michael’s Resort at their garden bar around noon.

In the afternoon, junior athletes will take part 'Micro Seal’, a fast and furious Scootathlon (scoot-bike-run) for 5-8 year-olds (non-timed).

Children aged 8-16 years-old will take on the ‘Mini Seal’, a full open water triathlon over various distances.

Gylly Surf Life Saving Club will once again provide open water cover for the event, supporting athletes on boards and motorised craft.

Gylly Beach Café will serve post event drinks and snacks on the beach.
