'Tis nearly the season of festivities, and a pop-up shop in Truro will be selling Christmas products for charity this year.

Cards for Good Causes has announced it is looking to recruit enthusiastic and friendly people to help run pop-up shops during the Christmas season.

The charity, which has been operating for more than 60 years, is currently looking for a shop manager to oversee the running of its Christmas pop-up shop at Truro Community Library, Union Place this year. The position will be an opportunity to help raise thousands of pounds for local and national charities and earn some money in the run up to Christmas.

There will also be other full and part time roles available. This role will be temporary and will be a paid position between October and December.

The shop at Truro Community Library, Union Place will open its doors from October 17 to December 17 and will sell a wide range of Charity Christmas cards and gifts which is said to 'suit all budgets', with proceeds going to support local and national charities.

Cards for Good Causes pop-up shops invite local residents, visitors and tourists to shop for good causes and explore a selection of seasonal gifts, stocking fillers, wrap, decorations and tableware. This year's selection of cards will feature the usual mix of religious cards, old masters, landscapes, festive favourites, and animals. With the help of supporters, Cards For Good Causes Festive Shops hopes to raise £500,000 pounds this upcoming festive season in aid of over 70 local and national charities.

In the last ten years alone, over £40 million has been raised for charitable causes. Some of the charities, Cards for Good Causes will be supporting this year include Diabetes UK, RNLI, British Heart Foundation, Alzheimer's UK, Epilepsy UK, MS Society along with many more local charities.
