After five years of gathering evidence, average speed cameras are going to be installed on the A39 through Perranarworthal known as the Gateway to Falmouth.

Speed campaigners have been using the speed monitor currently in place on the A39 at Perranwell to monitor the speed of vehicles going through the village.

The speed limit through the village is currently 30 mph but over the years it has been consistently ignored with one motorcyclist recorded going at over 80mph.
