A VET practice has announced it is cancelling the contract for its controversial parking eye system at its Falmouth site because it "didn't work for them".

Rosemullion Vets introduced the ParkingEye System when it opened its brand new animal hospital in Bickland Water Road last year.

Posting on Facebook today the practice apologised to anyone advesly effected by it and said people no longer had to enter their registration number when entering the site.

The post said: "We’re pleased to share with you all that the ParkingEye system at #RosemullionFalmouth has been removed. The system didn’t work for us or for you, so we have cancelled the contract.

"We’d like to apologise to anyone adversely affected by it and thank you for your patience.

"You are no longer required to enter your registration number on site."

The practice had to issue a parking amnesty after it introduced the parking monitoring system last year after it left some people claiming they had unwittingly been hit with a £100 fine after they parked their cars without realising they had to register their registration plate.
