An Aldi employee in Cornwall is celebrating a work anniversary milestone this month after working at the supermarket for 20 years.
Rachel Wallis, a Store Assistant at Aldi’s Camborne store, first joined the supermarket back in 2002 and since then has worked at several different Aldi stores across the county in roles ranging from Store Assistant to Store Manager, before taking on her current role at the Camborne store earlier this year.
During her time at Aldi, Rachel has gone above and beyond her typical store duties by helping to train and progress many colleagues over the years, as well as taking part in several store fundraisers.
Rachel said: “When I first started working for Aldi, it was a much smaller business, so it has been great to watch it grow over time.
“I have met lots of amazing colleagues and customers along the way, including some colleagues that have now become friends for life.”
When asked about her favourite products at Aldi, Rachel replied: “There are so many to choose from, but if I had to pick one it would have to be the creamy raspberry yoghurt which is often my go-to for a morning snack.”
Dan Oakenfull, Regional Managing Director at Aldi UK said: “Without the hard work and dedication of our store colleagues, we wouldn’t be able to provide customers with the excellent and efficient service we’ve become known for.
“Colleagues like Rachel are the cornerstone of our business and I thank her for her continued dedication to the company.”
