Poignant work that included memories of the first lockdown went on display last week.
More than 150 hand stitched quilts went on display in total at Heartlands, Pool.
They were the accumulation of work by the ladies of the Camborne-based Trevithick Quilters.
The exhibition had been postponed for the last few years because of Covid and lockdown.
Nearly 300 people visited the exhibition on Thursday and Friday to view the needlework produced by the 17 members of the group.
The subjects of the quilts ranged from “Memories Of Covid,” in which each member was asked to quilt a small six-inch square with something significant to them in the first lockdown, to “Support For Ukraine” featuring different types of sunflowers and “Chinese Whispers,” as well of many individual exhibits of quilting, ranging from wall hangings to cushions and bed spreads.
Some were pieces of famous artwork recreated.
Group founder Maggie Eastman said: “It has been a very successful show and we have had a lot of people enjoying our work.
“We have exhibited many different sewing techniques and styles."
The group meets every Tuesday at Camborne Community Centre and anyone interested in joining can contact Maggie by email at maggie.eastman@gmail.com
