OVER a thousand brave swimmers charged into the sea on Boxing Day to raise money for charity.
Poldhu Beach Cafe owners Ross and Natalie Hocking organise the annual event every year, and this year, according to the cafe, was the biggest turnout ever seen.
Ross said: "About two thousand people came to the beach, half racing into the sea in fancy dress, Santa's hats, and swimming costumes.
This year's dip raised £565 for charities Group B Strep Support and Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal.
Ross and Natalie have thanked those for taking part.
"It was the biggest turnout to date, thank you for the support of everyone who took part and donated to charities that are close to our hearts."
