CORNWALL Air Ambulance has said it is excited to announce that series two of the TV documentary series Cornwall Air 999 is starting from Friday, March 24.

The programme follows the critical care paramedics and pilots for a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the charity on some of its lifesaving missions.

Filmed during 2022, viewers will get the chance to see the crew in action, responding to real-life emergencies.

The 10-part series will again be narrated by actress and Cornwall resident Dawn French.

Steve Garvey, Air Operations Officer at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: "Series two once again provides a glimpse into the daily life of specialist paramedics and HEMS pilots here at Cornwall Air Ambulance.

"It really brings the viewer close to the action of what we do. Each year we’re tasked to over 1,000 incidents across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and the programme gives you the opportunity to join us on some of these missions."

Tim Bunting, Chief Executive at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: "How often do you get to see real behind-the-scenes footage of potentially lifesaving critical care?

"This series is a great way to showcase the vital work that the crew carry out each and every day. We are thrilled to be able to show you exactly what happens when the paramedics and pilots are called out on an emergency mission and what your kind donations go towards funding.
