HEAVY traffic and road closures around Truro are causing delays to travel times this afternoon with rush hour traffic making the situation slightly worse.
Motorists are being advised to avoid Tregolls Road due to heavy traffic on the stretch between the Trafalgar Roundabout and the Tregurra Park and Ride.
Commuters can expect up to ten minutes of delay during rush hour.
Drivers are also facing delays on Tresawls Road near the Treliske Roundabout due to queueing traffic.
The travel time has increased by ten minutes with the reason behind the traffic congestion not known yet.
Travelers are also being warned to expect slow traffic on A390 Highertown near the Sainsbury's / County Hall roundabout due to congestion.
It is predicted that travel time will be approximately ten minutes longer than usual.
Tregurra Lane has been closed in both directions today due to gas main work from A39 Newquay Road to Bodmin Road.
This closure is expected to last until the 31st of March.
Bedruthan Avenue has also been closed in both directions from Tregurra Lane to Cornubia Close due to work on a gas main.
The closure is expected to last until the end of the month, March 31st.
