Plans have been submitted to Cornwall Council for a new solar farm on land at Summercourt which could provide energy for more than 19,000 homes.
JBM Solar Projects wants to build the facility on land at Burthy Row Farm.
The application states that the site covers 83 hectares but that the solar panels and associated services will only use 5% of the land. As well as the solar panels the plans also include a battery energy storage system.
