A section of the main Helston to Porthleven road will be closed next week, with expected short-term disruption, due to surface "deteriorating signifcantly."
Cornwall Council contractor Cormac said that a road closure will be in place from the Fairground Carpark entrance, opposite Coronation Park, down to 'Zachary’s Bridge', on Tuesday, April 18.
It explained that due to the road surface "deteriorating significantly" and its close proximity to a pedestrian crossing, resurfacing was "required promptly" to maintain safety.
A road closure notice is in place between next Monday, April 17, to Wednesday, April 19, although Cormac expects to only carry out the work on Tuesday.

It said: "We do appreciate this is short notice, however it has become apparent that the existing road surface has deteriorated significantly.
"We expect the closure to be in place between 7am and 5pm, and access will be maintained to Fairground Car Park and for emergency vehicles.
“We do understand that this will cause short-term disruption to those in the vicinity and are very grateful to everyone for their patience.
“We will do our best to complete promptly and reinstate full access as quickly as possible.
“If you have any queries or concerns about these works, please email contracting@cormacltd.co.uk”
It is thought access to the car park will be via a traffic light system.
