A man has been given a lifetime ban from all Pub Watch pubs in Newquay after being found guilty of biting two Royal British Legion members.
Peter John Elliott, aged 58, of Newquay, stood trial at Truro Crown Court this week charged with two counts of assault by actual bodily harm (ABH).
He had denied biting two members of Newquay Royal British Legion during an argument at the legion clubhouse in Trevena Terrace.
However, on Friday a jury returned guilty verdicts on both counts, confirming that they were unanimous in their decision.
He has now been released on bail in order for reports to be compiled ahead of sentencing early next month.

Speaking after the verdict, Newquay Police, which carried out the investigation, spoke about the case.
They said: “Following an investigation carried out by Newquay Police, Peter John Elliott, 58, of Newquay, has been found guilty at Truro Crown Court on two counts of ABH by biting members of Newquay Royal British Legion.
“He has been released until May 5, pending pre-sentence reports.
“He is also subject to a lifetime ban from all establishments that hold membership of Newquay Pub Watch, a scheme that works closely with Newquay Police to prevent this type of behaviour on licensed premises.”
