The transfer of Pendennis Headland from Cornwall Council to the town council has been delayed.

At a meeting of Falmouth Town Council's finance and general purposes committee last night, town clerk Mark Williams said the council was waiting for sign offs from the legal team at Cornwall Council.

The transfer was originally scheduled to take place on March 31.

Mr Williams told councillors that when that transfer happens the council was set up to to hand over the closed Ships and Castles leisure centre to Pendennis Leisure.

He said there would need to be separate parking spaces order for Pendennis Headland car park as it will fall out of the remit of Cornwall Council and the town council will need to create a separate one.
