Police officers have arrested a woman in Truro today (Tuesday, April 18) on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon.
The woman, who has not been named, was arrested by Truro Police after concerns were received regarding a woman in the city carrying a knife.
Police managed to seize the knife, which was said to be around eight inches long.
No injuries were reported and the woman was arrested.

Posting on the Truro, Perranporth and Tregony Police Twitter page a spokesperson said: "Good work by Truro Police. Responded to concerns of a female in #truro with a knife.
"Person located, knife seized, female arrested and a room [cell] with no view assigned. Luckily no injuries. Knife crime has no place in society - certainly not our great little city."
