People across Falmouth and Penryn, Mylor and Flushing have come together to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III with big lunches.
There was a party in the park in Penryn, Mylor WI organised a celebration on the playing fields, there was a lunch at the Seven Stars in Falmouth and Coventry Road in Flushing was sealed off for a street party.

People entered in the spirit of the occasion following the coronation of the king in London yesterday.

The Mylor event was organised by Mylor WI who provided cakes, tea and coffee and games including Skittles, hopscotch, croquet and Petange.

A large number of villagers turned out to enjoy the sunshine and entertainment on offer whilst bringing their own picnics.
In Penryn the town council organised a party in the park in Brown’s Hill, Penryn opened by the Mayor, Councillor Julie Tucker.

Again people were invited to bring their own picnics and there was live music from The Shameless and an Elvis Presley tribute act with free face painting/circus skills/children's carousel as well as the amazing Starlight Majorettes.

In Flushing, Coventry Road was sealed off as residents held a Coronation Street Party with pasties and a hog roast and evening entertainment.
The Seven Stars in Falmouth also held a coronation lunch on The Moor.
