THIS week's Step Back in Time takes a look back at Flora Day in the 1930s, 1950s, 1970s, and 1980s

Included in this week's batch are The Hal-an-Tow in 1954.  The performers are proceeding along Church Street.  They were paid to take part in the Hal-an-Tow at this time.  Ben Gilbert is first from left in the third row from the front, Peter Barber is first from left in the fourth row from the front

Also included is the Midday Dance, Helston Flora Day, in the 1970s.  The dancers are in front of C Johns fish shop in Meneage Street.

The Children’s dance from the 1920s to early 1930s, the boys are holding the right hand of their partner with their right hand so that their hands are crossed in front of the girl, not like today: boys right and girls left.
