A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries after a single vehicle collision between Redruth and Helston this afternoon (May 31).

There are long delays following the accident which closed the B3297 between Burras and the Praze-an-Beeble turn-off (Pencoys) in both directions.

Police say there have been a number of road closures to allow emergency services to gewt to the scene of the accident.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 2.15pm today to Burras following report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike.

"The bike rider has been taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries.

"A number of road closures have been put in place to facilitate emergency access."

Inrix reports that the road is now closed due to the accident which happened around 2pm on Wednesday (May 31) between the B3297 Burras and the Praze-an-Beeble turn-off (Pencoys).

Traffic monitoring system INRIX reported: “B3297 both ways closed, slow traffic due to accident from Burras (Burras) to Praze-an-Beeble turn off (Pencoys). Affecting traffic between Redruth and Helston.”
