UPDATE JUNE 20, 2023: Police have confirmed that Terry Perkins, who was wanted by police in connection with an investigation into an assault, has since been located and arrested.

POLICE in Cornwall are warning the public not to approach a Helston man wanted in connection to an assault.

Terry Perkins, aged 37, from Helston, is wanted in connection with an investigation into an assault and Devon and Cornwall Police are now appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts.

Perkins is described as being white, approximately five foot eight inches tall, and of a medium build. He has short ginger hair and may have stubble.

He is thought to have links to London and Scotland and was last known to be in the Essex area. 

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are seeking the public’s help to trace a 37-year-old man from Helston.

"Terry Perkins is wanted in connection with an investigation into an assault.

"Enquiries have been made by police to locate him and officers are now appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts.

"Perkins is described as white, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, and of a medium build. He has short ginger hair and may have stubble.

"He was last known to be in the Essex area. He is also believed to have links to London and Scotland.

"Anyone who sees Perkins is asked not to approach him but to call police on 999, quoting log number 989 31st May.

"Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111, or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
