A CORNWALL pub has made the cut as one of the prettiest pubs in the UK, according to a new analysis.

The analysis, which was undertaken by house rental company, Big House Experience, analysed Instagram hashtag data for hundreds of country pubs that had been described as ‘beautiful’ in reputable publications over the past two years.

According to their results, The Gurnard's Head in Zennor, just outside of Saint Ives, ranks second on the list.

The dining pub and restuarant, which is just a short trip from the Minack Theatre, Zennor, Penzance and Newlyn, overlooks Cornwall's Atlantic coast and describes itself as "an inn that returns you momentarily to the slower pace of life that so many of us yearn for."

The Gurnard's Head has won numerous awards including the Silver Award at the Cornwall Tourism Awards for Tourism Pub of the Year in 2018, 2017 & 2016 as well as being listed in the Top 50 Gastro Pubs in the UK every year since 2008.

The pub also featured in the Best of England Pub Guide back in 2019 where it was described as: "A landmark pub almost at the edge of England, the Gurnard’s Head is your last stop for a pint and an open fire before the Atlantic Ocean. Between St Just and Zennor, this is genuine Cornwall. Wild, mysterious and beautiful, the Gurnard’s Head is an inn that transports you back to when travel was that little bit slower."

Topping the list was The Gunton Arms, Norfolk, and third place was taken by The Punch Bowl in Cumbria.
