Drivers are being warned that there may be some disruption on the main road into Helston from the Lizard during this week, as roadworks have now started.

There are speed restrictions and overnight traffic lights, with a convoy system in place, along the stretch of road past RNAS Culdrose, from the Sainsbury's roundabout to the Lizard roundabout.

The temporary speed restriction is due to be in place until Tuesday, August 8.

During daytime hours only a speed restriction will be in force, with the traffic lights up between 7pm and 7am each day.

This could cause delays for anyone heading back to the Lizard Peninsula after visiting Flambards this Wednesday (July 2) for the theme park's first firework display event of the year.
