THE public has been warned not to approach a man who is wanted by police in connection to reports of assault and an allegation of false imprisonment.

Wesley Bayliss, aged 43, is sought by police in connection to reports of an assault and allegation of false imprisonment, plus failing to answer police bail.

Police enquiries are being made to locate him and the public are now being asked to come forward with any information that could help locate him. 

It is believed Bayliss could be in the Porthleven and Helston area of West Cornwall.

He is described as being a white male, five foot nine inches tall, with a bald/shaved head hair and tattoos on his right arm of a lion and a flag.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are seeking the public’s help to trace 43-year-old Wesley Bayliss.

"Bayliss is sought in connection to reports of an assault and allegation of false imprisonment, plus failing to answer police bail.

"Enquiries have been made by police to locate him and officers are now appealing to the public for information of his whereabouts.

"Bayliss is described as a white male, 5ft 9ins tall, with a bald/shaved head hair and tattoos on his right arm of a lion and a flag.

"It is believed that he could be in the Porthleven and Helston area of West Cornwall.

"Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him but to contact police via 999, quoting reference number 50230212040.
