The owner of a doggie kennels has pleaded for help after hackers locked her out of her Facebook business page and cleaned out her bank account.

Sarah Walter, owner of Happy Pups Doggie Holidays near Falmouth, was horrified to discover on Monday night that she’d been locked out of her Facebook page which she relies on to run her business. If you go to the page now it just says it's a broken link.

She says 13 years of business is now absolutely “squashed” and the experience has been so “traumatic and upsetting”.

The hacker not only appears to have taken her business page, which now appears to be deleted, but also her personal page and used her PayPal account details to clear out her bank account overnight.

She has now put out a desperate appeal on Facebook to try and contact her clients as all of her contacts and months of upcoming bookings have disappeared.

Posting on Facebook she said: “Last night some awful person hacked my Facebook shutting me out of my happy pups page and also my personal page.

“I no longer can access my work page and I have all my clients on there. I can now no longer contact any one of my clients nor can they contact me.

“The whole page seems to of been deleted to add to this they managed to use my information to go through PayPal and empty my bank account overnight as I slept.

“I have months of up and coming bookings that I can no longer contact the clients and they will all be concerned that they can no longer reach me.”

She says she want to share the post as far as possible so that she can reach as many clients as “This has been so traumatic and upsetting... within 24 hours I have had my bank account cleaned out and my business of 13 years absolutely squashed,” she said.
