The A30 is going to be closed again over the weekend for the start of the construction of the new section of dual carriageway linking Carland Cross junction to the existing A30.

Overnight closures take place until September 14 for preparation work and weekend closure  September 15 to 18.

Overnight closures between Scorrier to Boxheater are taking place up to September 14 from 8pm to 6am.

Overnight closures are needed to carry out preparation work ahead of the weekend closure. 

The A30 will be closed in both directions between Scorrier and Boxheater from 8pm to 6am the following morning. Traffic will be diverted via the B3285, the A3075 and the B3277.

The closures are needed to work towards the opening of the new road.

The A30 will be closed between Scorrier and Boxheater from 8pm on Friday, September 15 until 6am on Monday, September 18.

Work to demolish the old Tolgroggan bridge will take place during this weekendwith  progress work to open the B3284 Chybucca link as part of the new junction switch traffic at Chiverton create tie ins to the new A30 dual carriageway.

The above diversion route will be in place.

The Highways Agency is warning people to please plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey.

During September 2023 to the end of the month, there will be lane closures in both directions between Carland Cross and Mitchell. This includes the westbound approach to Carland Cross.

At the end of the month the A30 between Mitchell and Carland Cross will be changed to a contraflow (one lane in either direction) until the opening of the new road.

November  3 to 6, 2023 - Scorrier to Boxheater *
